His Excellency Jamal Al Shehab was the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Social and Labor Affairs for the State of Kuwait. He was two times Minister of Justice holding the position as the Minister of Justice and Awqaf Affairs and Minister of Legal Affairs of the State of Kuwait. His Excellency is an established International Attorney and Philanthropist with strong experience in both public sector (having served as the Assistant Undersecretary for the Ministry of Justice, Legal Affairs, International Relations and Justice Palace as well as the Ministry of Planning Administrative and Financial Affairs, Technical and Promotion Program of the State of Kuwait since 1993) and the private sector.

His success story spoke for his expertise and experience in areas of law and business. He started his career in 1980 as a lecturer in Kuwait University in College of Law and Shariah. In 1983 he went into private practice and was attached various law practices in Kuwait and GCC registered attorney. He set up his own Legal Consultancy Jamal & Jamal Law Firm in 2002 specialising in Islamic Finance and Banking, Corporate and Commercial Laws, Capital Market, Offshore Investments, Cross Border Investments, Litigation, Shipping, Environmental Law (UN Projects), IPR, Gas/Oil/Petroleum sectors and debt collections. In 2008 he set up Al Shehab International Consultancy which he is heading as a Senior Partner.

His Excellency established strong global network in this area by having affiliations to several prestigious entities including Law Office of Rajab Al Qatri in Oman,  SNR DENTON – U​.S.A covering English, French and International law, Dar Al Noha Law Firm in R​iyadh KSA, The International Office for Advocacy and Legal Consultation in Qatar. Law Office of Dr. Mohammed Al Khazragi in A​bu Dhabi UAE, Salans International Law Firm covering French and International law, Baker & Mackenzie L.L.P. in U​.S.A, Dewey & LeBeouf Law Firm in U​.S.A and Optima Fund Management.

His Excellency held and is holding the positions as  Board Member, Chairs and Committees for International Legal, Legal Information Network Project of the Kuwait Ministry of Justice, Committee of Illegal Residence, a Project of the Kuwait Ministry of Justice, Supreme Committee of Labor of the State of Kuwait, UNDP – technical and promotion  of Ministry of Planning,  Supreme Petroleum Council and Chair Supreme committee of regulations of  Employment of Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.

His Excellency is also heading and actively participating in these philanthropy initiatives including as the Secretariat for Charitable Society For Social solidarity, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of International Islamic Charity, Muslim World League Lawyers- International Islamic Organization and the Chair for Supreme Council for the Disabled  – Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.
