Dato’ Badlisyah Abdul Ghani was the Group Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Islamic for 13 years. Under his leadership CIMB Islamic Group was founded and had grown to be the leading Islamic finance entities particularly in Asia Pacific. The Group Branch in London was also doing particularly well during his time as the Group CEO for all CIMB Group Islamic business. The industry recognition of Dato’ Badlisyah leadership was, among other, represented in numerous awards the respective entities and he received from numerous international and national institutions.

Dato’ Badlisyah was the President of the Malaysian Association of Islamic Banks (AIBIM). It was during his tenure that Malaysia witnessed the major improvement that brought the Islamic banking industry to its current and modern state.
